The Help has been passed on to a beautiful friend

Standard

And of course she’s going to need a book mark, To tell the truth, I had a crafty epic fail the morning I made this and by the end of the day, I was plain out determined to put these hands to paper and create something beautiful before the day was over.

A friend seen the movie and wanted to then read the book, I had it  because I read, and finished the book my Girls’ first day back to school, so I sent it on to her.   By the time I was half done with this tag, I knew God had begun this tag with a purpose.  It was for her.  It was sent on to her and received with many happy smiling thanks!  It felt wonderful!  I don’t usually do cute, but it turned out that way.  It was just  what came out of me.

I inked the background (manilla paper tag) using  American Girl ink Pink and Blue (Purple is just the overlapping of colors) with my Tim Holtz applicator, and a piece of felt, I never buy the refills, just a white piece of felt.

Autumn Leaves brand stamps on the ticket, This is a real (just inked) ticket that my daughter won from a game at the skating rink, They are blank on the back, I put them to good use!

I have a ton of  skittles a friend made me for my birthday last year

Chipboard “love” circle from Paper Studio chipboard set from Hobby Lobby

Paint pen, green and bottle green pearl (flower stem) Painted with pearl first after drying make the texture with the flat color.

Homemade Glimmer Spray “Bottle Green”  on one of the flowers

I used No Heat No Sew glue on everything, This stuff stays stuck like you wouldn’t believe!!!!

Many size and color buttons

Ode to a dead Cricut

Standard

RIP Cricut, I know weve only known one another a short while, and you helped out very often, I do however, want you to know how much I appreciate all the hard work you have given me while you worked for me.  Your maker says they will replace you soon, And I will also have a new friend named ECraft join us.   ECraft is already arriving late,  not looking good as far as first impressions go, I hope he will prove himself in time.  I hope they give me as much enjoyment as you did. Rest little buddy, You were a great friend.

So being that my Cricut bit it, I had to run to a friend to complete a Cut swap, not to mention the baby broke my camera, so I’m going to have to find the receipt, I will be the first to tell you, Electronics don’t, and never have liked me!

I don’t know exactly how to work a Cricut E2, and I frustrate when messing with new technology, she cut them for me.  I think it really has something to do with the fact that she knows technology hates me, and she kinda likes her E2.

Summer cut Swap for my Alpha Scrappy Scavenger swap group, I chose the dolphin and the Relax title from “Splish Splash”  Cricut Cartridge.  The picture is from my phone, so please be patient untill I can get my behind back to Walmart to do the warranty on that also!  Yes, It’s a mess around here!  I can’t say that this is a new thing!

They are cut at 3 inches, both the dolphin and the Title

Tim Holtz Denim Distress Stickles thinly on the Title

No Heat No Sew Glue smeared  on the background piece where the cut is open.

Big chipped blue glitter was sprinkled on it first then I used Aqua Marine Martha Stewart fine glitter to add interest and texture, also to cover the ugly white between the big flakes or chips of glitter, this is my favorite glitter technique for the big flaked glitter, its beautiful.   Just when yo think glitter can’t get prettier, this technique pulls it off!

I am hoping my swap partners adore it! (I was late on the swap) sad being its mine LOL.   They understand, since I had an unexpected loss when this swap was voted in 🙂  They have seen what they are getting and do love them.  Some of them may even be telling the truth!!!

Thanks so much  for stopping by and baring with my move from Blogspot. Please don’t forget to re-follow me.

Embossing With Stamps

Standard

Embossing With Stamps  ***MONEY SAVER***

You will need:

Your stamp for the image

Misting bottle of water

Foam pad or mouse pad

Card Stock

  1. Mist front and back of cardstock, let it set and soak through a couple seconds
  2. Place cardstock on foam pad
  3. Firmly as possible press your stamp into rocking gently back and forth making sure to get edges and corners of image
  4. Remove and let dry, do not use heat gun, it can damage small impressions being its pretty fragile at this point!
  5. Turn it over to the debossed side and lightly brush your stamp pad against the raised impressions

How Pretty is that!  I adore it!

Thanks for baring with me while I switch over.  Please dont forget to re-follow me here. I am making the move to WordPress, and trying to figure out this place, it is very different from my Blogspot!  I will be learning for a while, but will get it soon!  I don’t know how to control my picture placements correctly yet, but soon, I will! 🙂 Also all my posts are not yet transferred, so if you click on any of the side bars, you will not get much.

It has been a long summer, and I have not been able to craft as I would like, but I have plenty of things on their way, I will host an Upcycle blog hop next month here to kick off my new blog, and a big swap in October that’s always so exciting!

I was trying to get my groove back with these denim looking cards, I’m still not back there yet,  I need to  keep my hands in it, so that  it will come back soon!    I miss the heck out of my groove, If you see it, please tell it to call home!  Id sure appreciate it!

Since I last posted, my Cricut Expression bit it, My Gypsy never worked correctly, so they are both in the process of being replaced by Provo Craft, and I have an ECraft in route as we speak, So I have plenty to post coming up!  Thanks so much, for hanging on with me and don’t forget to re-follow me here!
