Not the GUM DROP BUTTONS!

Standard

Cut a strip 1×12 and fold as shown for the wall around the outside, glue bottom to one side of the card

I used Gypsy/Cricut Cartridge Gingerbread and cut 2 ornament shadows to 2.5 inches, and placed a circle cut in the center of one.  Then cut  a strip of paper about 1 in. X 12  in.   folded it lengthwise as shown in the bottom picture.  Save your cut circle piece for a template for whatever you are wanting to use inside the shaker, you can throw away the middle circle afterword.

Take a couple of foam dots or squares and attach them to the middle back wall to make your inside decoration circle   (float) making sure you line it up with the front or top portion as you attach your decorative circle, you want to see it directly when looking through the peep-hole! cut a piece of clear plastic or acetate bigger than the hole and glue to the inside of the front to cover the hole, let everything dry before adding your glitter, or whatever you choose to put into the shaker ornament.  Then attach your front, lay flat to dry.

After everything is dried pinch the top pieces together and punch a circle, add an eyelet, and your fibers.    I may have just made that seem harder than it is, sorry if I did.  I found it pretty hard to explain this.

I it!

This is for a swap, but I want to keep it! LOL    If I make another I will make the depth of the bottom more shallow so that I wont have to use so much glitter to pile up at the gingerbread man’s feet.  I had to open this back up and put in a bit of foam air dry clay stuff to fill the space, so I wouldn’t have to use so much glitter.  You learn as you go huh?   I love this ornament! Do I really have to send it away?

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you are inspired!   Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!

OH MY GOODNESS !!! I just found “slide show”!!!  Im getting a little happier about moving from Blogspot by the minute.

I created this mini in a motel, where the baby and I went to work with my hubby, we stayed 8 days, he left before daylight and returned  about 11pm 8 days in a roll!  No pool, no microwave, no refrigerator, only about 9 channels on the TV and no breakfast!  It was horrible….I did get this sweet mini out of the deal and when we moved motels we were in a super lux motel with an indoor pool, free totally wonderful breakfast bar where they loaded you up for your room before you left, Big fluffy towels, hot tub, and an awesome suite with 2 big screen TVs, and a beautiful bathroom with a huge tub,  that we were able to bring all the children.

The Help has been passed on to a beautiful friend

Standard

And of course she’s going to need a book mark, To tell the truth, I had a crafty epic fail the morning I made this and by the end of the day, I was plain out determined to put these hands to paper and create something beautiful before the day was over.

A friend seen the movie and wanted to then read the book, I had it  because I read, and finished the book my Girls’ first day back to school, so I sent it on to her.   By the time I was half done with this tag, I knew God had begun this tag with a purpose.  It was for her.  It was sent on to her and received with many happy smiling thanks!  It felt wonderful!  I don’t usually do cute, but it turned out that way.  It was just  what came out of me.

I inked the background (manilla paper tag) using  American Girl ink Pink and Blue (Purple is just the overlapping of colors) with my Tim Holtz applicator, and a piece of felt, I never buy the refills, just a white piece of felt.

Autumn Leaves brand stamps on the ticket, This is a real (just inked) ticket that my daughter won from a game at the skating rink, They are blank on the back, I put them to good use!

I have a ton of  skittles a friend made me for my birthday last year

Karen Foster Denim Pockets Paper

I am making the move to WordPress, and trying to figure out this place, it is very different from my Blogspot!  I will be learning for a while, but will get it soon!  I don’t know how to control my picture placements correctly yet, but soon, I will! 🙂 Also all my posts are not yet transferred, so if you click on any of the side bars, you will not get much.

It has been a long summer, and I have not been able to craft as I would like, but I have plenty of things on their way, I will host an Upcycle blog hop next month here to kick off my new blog, and a big swap in October that’s always so exciting!

I was trying to get my groove back with these denim looking cards, I’m still not back there yet,  I need to  keep my hands in it, so that  it will come back soon!    I miss the heck out of my groove, If you see it, please tell it to call home!  Id sure appreciate it!

Since I last posted, my Cricut Expression bit it, My Gypsy never worked correctly, so they are both in the process of being replaced by Provo Craft, and I have an ECraft in route as we speak, So I have plenty to post coming up!  Thanks so much, for hanging on with me and don’t forget to re-follow me here!
