Valentines for our Teachers

Standard

These are coffee single serve packs, I created wraps for them.  I used cuts and die cuts I have stored in a box from making the wrong size or shape cut, or those  that I cut too many of for a project allowing for accidents.  Martha Stewart dies,  eyelet lace, and double arch.  Most of the papers were from my scraps.  The crayons were a sheet from a note pad that Im pretty sure I bought at Dollar Tree.

I’m having computer issues that will be corrected soon, so please bare with me, I am missing everyone so much, its breaking my heart!

I will be back soon and make it up to you entirely, *giveaway*  hing, hint!  🙂  Paying it forward so to speak! 🙂

Although Santa still needs Crystal Stickles on his beard, or maybe flock, I dont know yet, but I do  know that I wont have another second on my hands to take pics and post!  Time is closing in and Mom is going into surgery soon.  The children are all home for Christmas break and my sweet man is enjoying his time with the deer most days!   I still have a million reasons to smile and have been tremendously blessed this season.  Even though I have a lot on my plate, I still know I am loved and I do many things out of love.    I need a lot of support now and I have found it with many of my followers and fellow scrappers.  I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for all the love and appreciation you show me when I am down overwhelmed or creatively stagnated 🙂    I really do appreciate you all!  I pray you all have a Merry Christmas, or what ever you celebrate or don’t celebrate this time of year, you are all special and important pieces of this world!   Thank you for building me up when I need it and knocking me down when also needed, that is what true friends do!

Not the GUM DROP BUTTONS!

Standard

Cut a strip 1×12 and fold as shown for the wall around the outside, glue bottom to one side of the card

I used Gypsy/Cricut Cartridge Gingerbread and cut 2 ornament shadows to 2.5 inches, and placed a circle cut in the center of one.  Then cut  a strip of paper about 1 in. X 12  in.   folded it lengthwise as shown in the bottom picture.  Save your cut circle piece for a template for whatever you are wanting to use inside the shaker, you can throw away the middle circle afterword.

Take a couple of foam dots or squares and attach them to the middle back wall to make your inside decoration circle   (float) making sure you line it up with the front or top portion as you attach your decorative circle, you want to see it directly when looking through the peep-hole! cut a piece of clear plastic or acetate bigger than the hole and glue to the inside of the front to cover the hole, let everything dry before adding your glitter, or whatever you choose to put into the shaker ornament.  Then attach your front, lay flat to dry.

After everything is dried pinch the top pieces together and punch a circle, add an eyelet, and your fibers.    I may have just made that seem harder than it is, sorry if I did.  I found it pretty hard to explain this.

I it!

This is for a swap, but I want to keep it! LOL    If I make another I will make the depth of the bottom more shallow so that I wont have to use so much glitter to pile up at the gingerbread man’s feet.  I had to open this back up and put in a bit of foam air dry clay stuff to fill the space, so I wouldn’t have to use so much glitter.  You learn as you go huh?   I love this ornament! Do I really have to send it away?

Thanks for visiting!  Hope you are inspired!   Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!

I had some very pretty Christmas paper given to me by my friend and CTMH rep Jennifer Augustyn, I finally found these and could stop hoarding the paper and get some use out of the paper instead of just looking pretty in a stac in my craft cabnet! I found a video on Youtube that made my hands itch to get these done! I hope you try these and let me know how it goes!
